Nope.

pop/rock, by MTV standards, usually doesn't get brought up here. There are those who listen to it, but us elitist bastards tend to annoy them with are "better than thou" attitude.
As for the Japanese music - well, this is an anime site.
(Although Merzbow is Japanese, now that I think about it)

i hate music that everyone hears because they(the artists's managers) paid mtv a lotta money so they'll play their music

but i hate all(well 99.98%) of the rock/pop songs
its so pathetic
i know only one half rock song that i really like and its :

Give Epitonic a shot. They have a lot of good music.

Look for Dalek, Kid606, or John Vanderslice. You can browse around for hours on there, they have free legal music representative of many underground scenes.

hey, i got a question. im a fan of hardcore, but somesay hardcore can be anti-climactic. you think there are some hardcore songs that would work for AMV's? wich ones?

that depends on what you mean by 'hardcore'

My understanding of hardcore is probably vastly different from yours

Do clarify; but in general, I think anything can work with an AMV. You just have to really try.
