Puni Puni Poemy- is it good?

Hey all. I was recently browsing my favorite site to buy anime (Anime Corner Store) when I stumbled onto the fact that Puni Puni Poemy is (finally) coming to DVD. While I'm all jived and psyched up for it's scheduled April 6th release, and while I absolutely loved Excel Saga, I cannot help but stop and wonder if it's worth it.

I've had sort of a tighter budget recently, and I was wondering if it really would be worth it to fork out $20+ for each DVD. I wanna know from those who've seen it (either by fansub, Korean import, or whatever have you) if it's really as good as the adds I've seen make it out to be.

Please, please, PLEASE do not tell me anything of the storyline, much less any spoilers. The ONLY thing that I am looking for here is whether or not it is good overall, and whether or not you like it. What I'd really like to hear is if people who've seen Excel Saga, and liked it, also liked Puni Puni Poemy (or vice-versa).

Wow, it only took ADV 3 whole years to bring it out! /sarcasm

Poemi is very much like excel saga. However Poemi is very much more over the top. It also has some very adult content, much like the final episode of excel saga. It's also quite possibly got the fastest speaking voice actresses ever.

Imagine Excel ep 26, on drugs, twice the speed, even more random, written by people from an insane asylum.

That's not even close.

And yes it is so worth it.

isn't Puni Puni Poemi a direct(barely) sequel to Excel Saga?? I read that it was like.. 10 years later or somethin..

and isn't it like only 2 eps long??

Excel saga has absolutely nothing to do with Poemi. They are totally different.

Don't the Excel Girls voice the characters in PPP? I remember seeing that in the commercial lol.

I got the fansubs of it and it's hilarious... Nabeshin is probably the best anime character that was ever drawn!
