Having a problem with xvid

okay, here's what's happening. I load up my nice shiny file into VirtualDubAVS. I go to compression and choose xvid (i've tried all the processing modes available), go to audio choose full processing mode, go WAV audio, and add in my music. I then export.

So here's the problem. When it plays, at one point the video just freezes (about 45-50 seconds into the video), and the audio continues to play. Now this doesn't occur when I use any of the other codecs like Huffyuv or atrocious Divx. So, can anyone help me with this?

This is a sync problem in Vdub. For some reason, some lame MP3 settings don't work right. I go with CBR settings when that happens. Try different MP3 bitrates and types (ABR,CBR, etc).

My audio goes off sync when if I use anything less than 44100HZ 192kbps CBR Stereo with XviD.

Maybe try that setting?

Check the AVI tab of the preferences dialog, make sure that "Do not correct MPEG Layer III audio streams" is checked.

There is a known issue when both LAME and Fraunhofer codecs are installed.
