Too Big?
Well im new to music videos and I just DL DVD Decrypter a few days ago. I ripped the scences off one of my DVDs. My dad went and deleted everthing I dl. He said that it was way bigger than the computer. I was wondering if theres anyway to resize the scene or is there no way I can make a AMV?

AMV making does require, if nothing else, a whole lot of hard drive space... you could theoretically rip small portions of the DVD and compress those down to be smaller if you wanted, but it still going to take up a decent amount of space and you'll lose quality as you do it. If you're just getting started and wanting to experiment though that might not be too bad of an idea.

Check ErMaC and AD's guide and look for the section on bait and switch. This will save space but you still have to have enough space initially. It may or may not help. What I did was rip the DVD's on a more powerfull computer then compress them and send them to my laptop for editing, then you need to go back to the DVD's when your done.

figure on a working range of AT LEAST 5-10 gig. You may need more at the end, when you reload your dvd files, and render out your project prior to the compression stage if you are using bait and switch.
That would be for a small to medium sized project.
Figure on .99 gb per .vob file from your dvd. if you use the bait and switch method, then your working files will be smaller (depending on your settings, I get about 1.5-2 gig for picvideo at quality 19).
Plus you can kill the dvd files until you're ready to render out if you're using the bait and switch method. It takes a couple of practice sessions but it's really not as hard as it seems.
