     Hmmm... maybe we should scrap the voting part?

     Yeah, we could just have a weekly thread where we could post our AMV of the week. Instead of nominating one, we could simply post a reply telling everyone what AMV we have judged as AMV of the week.

     Wouldn't that be great? You are the one who watches 'em, so you decide which one is your AMV of the week. You wouldn't be posting your nomination, you'd be posting your winner.

     Yeah, I reckon that'd work. I'm sure everyone would like the idea that the only judge are themselves. I think the thread would be popular, too. Everyone would get to hear everyone else's recommendations, the AMV gems hidden deep within a-m-v.org would be brought into the light, AND every AMV awarded would be completely immune to objection... since we all judge according to our own personal preference.

     Don't that sound sweet? Is there any AMV you have seen this week that you think deserves YOUR AMV of the Week award?

that is a good idea, i had one too you could get everyones amv of the week and the one that gets chosen the most can be official amv of the week!! winning the creator a well deserved cookie! *munch munch* ok they can just have a peanut *munch* aw cripes just dont give em anything

I think the best way to do the whole "video of the week" thing is to simply have people who watch a whole lot of videos post one every week that doesn't get enough attention or might have faded out of popularity but is still a great video. I'd say start with the most numerous reviewer people and ask if they want to volunteer. Just say, "hey, seen any videos recently that stand out? Other people should know about?"
I don't think it was every really meant to be some contest thingy or anything really scientific.

Unless phade was planning to rent out that space like eBay does.
