I would second that.. but.. that is an Underdeveloped version of DIVX... although i do prefer it.. I dont like to use it for Uploading, not everyone has that codec, its not small enough, although the quality isnt that bad on it... but for final encodes for the org.. i prefer DivX or Xvid... but I'd Download it anywaysMr Pilkington wrote:MS MPEG4 v2

You said it yourself, those are critical parts of Mac OS X that are way ahead of the competition. I understand they want to protect such industrial secrets!trythil wrote:However there do exist a number of things in OS X that are still proprietary -- things that I consider to be the niftier aspects of the operating system. The Quicktime and Quartz Extreme technologies are two good examples. I'm not saying this is a bad thing; there certainly exist good reasons why they aren't open.

I prefer Mpeg-1 for my videos
and when it comes to an AMV anything except RM if its encoded nicely
I have seen Lovely Quicktime Encodes (I usea that for when I store HQ versions of newer vids in both the Avid and the Sorenson3 Codecs)

I've seen 2 vids using .amv... you had to rename them to .avi because their server didnt allow .avi files... pretty crummy way to upload if you ask meDeclan_Vee wrote:.AMV? doesn't like MPEG? Well that's odd, especially this AMV... thing.AMV_4000 wrote:XviD, .AMV, or DivX, my comp for some reason dosnt like Mpegs... so i prefer DivX or XviD.. i dont mind WMV or ASF, RM's are a pain sometimes, and i dont even want to mess with Mov's...
