it depends and what you think is goofy... my opinion is that he is like kenshin... a guy with a pad past trying to repent for the sins committed... so both of them act goofy... allowing them to become invisible to some... like they're weak and there is no point in messing with them... but if you do cross kenshin or vash... they'll kick your ass, but they do it ins "goofy" way...Moonlight Soldier wrote:Goofy is good 8)

How's this for on topic!!!!!
I think I've either posted this somewhere in here or I've chatted to someone about it, but what exactly is Trigun about?
From what I remember, I was told it's about this sensational gunman who acts goofy...ya, so can anyone elaborate?
It follows Vash's character - if he annoys you, you're probably not going to like the show.
Because of this path of destruction he's wanted for a very high bounty, so people are constantly after him. Later in the series, he's also chased by a string of assassin types, with motives that become clearer as the story goes on.
It starts out goofy, but develops a plot around episode 13 and dips into angst quite often after that.
It's got enemy-of-the-week syndrome, most definitely. But I like it quite well for an action show, which usually aren't my favorites. Engaging characterization is probably what does it.
I've heard that the manga plotline makes more sense, and having read the first book it's definitely less padded. heh. But I'd still suggest giving it a try.
That's my take.

It follows Vash's character - if he annoys you, you're probably not going to like the show.He is a pacifist, despite being an excellent shot, and tries as hard as possible never to take human life, despite managing somehow to leave massive property damage (floods, entire destroyed cities) in his wake.

In a straight up fight Wolfwood would own Jet (as much as it really really really really hurts me to say this)!!! Character-wise, Jet OWNS EVERYBODY in my opinion, although I'm sure no one will agree with me on this one!Cloud Clone wrote:Trigun is awesome...that's why someday when I'm a bajillionaire, I'll pay someone to create a Trigun-Cowboy Bebop crossover...that way I can see a Jet-Wolfwood fight! WOOT-WOOT!
Still, this would rival the Vash-Spike fight in coolness!! Both are fights I would pay 20 billion double dollars to see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
