  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

New Ranma vid - You'll Be A Woman Soon

Post by tajjej » Sat Feb 28, 2004 6:01 pm

This video is taken from Ranma and Kuno's date. It is centered around Kuno. I think there might be a luagh in here somewhere, but I'll leave that opinion to you all.

The video is available here.

Enjoy!

What freaking codec did you use? The video blew up on every player I have (five of them) and this is the first video since I reformated and reinstalled everything that I couldn't get a video working in some player or another. Either you encoded this poorly or you're using a different codec than the other couple hundred videos I've downloaded.

It's a Divx5 file with mp3 sound.

Works fine for me.

I have had the same problem with two downloads from AMV also, but never any CLR videos. I don't know what the problem is, but I can not load and watch two other videos that we have downloaded. They just cause Divx Player to crash. Yet I know others can and have watched them without a hitch. All the videos from CLR all viewed using DP before uploading and tested again by downloading and playing them all the way through.

I hope whatever is causing these problems is identified soon. I don't want anyones videos causing problems, least of all ours. I have tried re-downloading the faulty vids I have come across, but it does not change anything. 99.99% of the videos we download work, a couple don't.

I hope no one else has a problem. Please let me know and I can try encoding it with one of the other CODECs we have.

Thank you for the post. At least now I know my computer is not the only one having a problem.

How odd, even the Divx player screws up on me. I get sound fine but no picture. Well, to be accurate, I get a few random colored boxes on top of the screen that never change. Other Divx videos still play fine though. I guess I'll have to start poking around my settings if this is nothing but Divx though.

I just tried my video in Windows Media Player. I tried the version I downloaded from the AMV site. It played fine.

It is not the players that have a problem. It is the files themselves. I just don't know why. I just tried to watch one of the other videos, that has given us problems, with WMP. I opened explorer to start it and explorer crashed when I tried to GET TO that video.

I don't know what goes wrong. Maybe someone else can give us both an idea?

Hmm, finally got it to play in Divx player but still not in anything else. Damn computers. Out of curiosity is the movement supposed to be jerky in most of it or is that just a sign I'm still having Divx problems?

The jerkyness is part of the video. It is because some of the scenes had to be slowed a bit. Sorry, there was no other way to work them...
