If this is posted under the wrong section, could one of the mods please move it to the right section? Anyway, I figured this topic would go best under this category since I'm not asking how to rip footage, but how to go about seeing if someone here can send me some DVD-ripped footage for a project I'm currently working on. If I had the DVDs for these series/movies, I could do the ripping myself, no prob.
However, I don't have these DVDs, and nobody I know at school has them either. I only ask that you simply rip the vobs off the DVD and send them to me undoctored, since I don't want any screwy compression messing up the output quality of my final video (but only rip the scenes that I let you know I need, there's no way I can store a whole movie on my HD). I also ask that the DVDs are not bootlegged, since I know these particular ones are probably very frequently pirated.
You'll get credit for it, and if you have any videos of your own you'd like me to review, I can (even though that option might go better under Op Exchange).
Anyway, the footage that I need is from the second Inuyasha movie and the Ranma ½ OVA. To be specific on the Ranma parts is impossible (respond here and I can set you up with a way of seeing what parts I need), but the Inuyasha footage is limited to the battle with Naraku at the beginning (I think it's maybe the first 10 minutes of the movie), and the battle with him at the end of the movie. I'll also set up a way for you to see the clips for these as well so that you know how much to rip, but right now I just want to find someone who has these non-bootlegged DVDs and is willing to supply me with the footage I need.
To re-iterate, please respond to this thread if you have these DVDs:
Inuyasha Movie 2
Ranma ½ OVA Box Set
Thank you. Don't worry, you will be credited for your contribution, and I'll do what I can on my end to return the favor.
P.S. If you actually want to de-multiplex the audio from the vobs and send the .m2v files, that's fine (and preferrable for space matters, even if it is only a few megs' difference), since I don't need the audio from these clips.
Can someone help me get this footage?

This isn't a smart question to be posting blatantly on the forums.. Rule #7 of the forum rules states that asking for downloadable footage isn't allowed, so be prepared for a possible thread lock.

I don't think he's asking for downloadable footage. But it's clearly a judgment call for a mod to make.burntoast wrote:This isn't a smart question to be posting blatantly on the forums..
