I'm a big fan of Interstella 5555 from Daft Punk/Leiji Matsumoto and would like to contribute, but I don't really understand the project. Are you looking for people to create new "remixed" versions of the videos based on the original Interstella footage or using footage from another anime film? Also, why did you break up the songs into one minute chunks? Will they be joined later, or should they have fade-in/out at the beginning and end. Sorry if these are noobie questions.

If you've seen other projects like Mission Improbable and Animix..well..this is the same. What you'll do is pick a track (hence the 1 minute chunks) email the project's person in charge (that being olw who's email addy is in the first post) that you want said track..and then you'll make a 1 minute AMV with the anime of your choice to add to the others that have been made. And as far as I know..you shouldn't have to add fade ins/outs yourself. Hope this helps you out ^^

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry if I'm being thick, but when you say "track," it sounds like you're not necessarily talking about a song. When I check the project web-site, it has one minute chunks *within* one song.
I can imagine making a video from the start of a song to the middle, but not one that starts in the middle of the song. Or is this simply me not being able "to think out of the box?"

Yet this is how this project works.Zoso1888 wrote: I can imagine making a video from the start of a song to the middle, but not one that starts in the middle of the song.
This is why communication with the guy in charge of the previous track is important...you might want to know how he/she is going to end his/her amv, in order to know a little bit how to start yours.
As Ladydx said, try to watch other multi-editor projects (Mission improbable is the one with the closest concept - AMVs starting in the middle of a song) in order to understand better
