yeah, lol, whatever anime u discuss, opening a thread on it is bound to attract ppl that actually understand it
kinda nice imo that this thread got ressurrected, i liked it and felt kinda bad that it was going away
if anyone has any questions (in addition to my own) i think now is the time to do it before randomness consumes this topic and makes it horribly off-topic
btw, does anyone know if Goldenboy has been completely released in the US at all? sounds like a fun buy, i'm sure i'd find some in the stores if i searched, but i don't know if it's all released yet.

Um, those are my old questions that still haven't been answered, so...yeah. Man, I'm tired. Doesn'tanyone else have school?Cloud Clone wrote:I just thought I'd put my questions on this page so people wouldn't have to search to find them. Where did the robot come?
What was the iron really supposed to be?
What made Nauta special from everyone else?
Why did his brother's (ex?) friend hang on him all the time?
Just a few questions.

Robot came from Naota's head... transported by the amount of N-O in Naota's head... still don't know exactly what N-O isCloud Clone wrote:Is this a necro-post? The iron is exactly what it says in the anime... it's suppose to smooth out the wrinkles (imperfections) of whatever planet it's on... smooth the planet and the people starting thinking smoothly... ie if u have a smooth wrinkle-free brain, it means ur an idiot.. therefore in prime condition to be enslaved, in this case by Medica Mechanica
Naota had more N-O than the average boy
yes she is his brother's (tasuku) ex, she hangs around Naota to fill the void in her life now that big brother left to america to play ball
it's been said in this topic already, but i'd say it again cause it's late and i don't feel like searching for the quote
Mamimi calls Naota, and than later a cat she finds, Ta-kun, for some reason, i guess american translaters didn't pick up on this and translated it in the subs as Takkun, Ta- is short for Tasuku who Mamimi longs for, -kun is a japanese suffix used to show affection for someone, ie jimmy loves katie, jimmy calls katie, katie-kun, katie calls jimmy (if she's not two-timing him) jimmy-kun
so Mamimi is replacing Tasuku with Ta-kun(s)
my own question:
can someone explain what the deal is with N-O and the brain being able to transport material across large distances? pleeeeeeeeeeeez

According to Tsurumaki-san, at first he went with the iron design for the Medical Mechanica plant just because he thought it looked cool, but then later on he realized he could use the whole "ironing out the wrinkles" angle, as explained by Amarao and Kitsurubami in episode 6.Daio Kaji wrote:The iron is exactly what it says in the anime... it's suppose to smooth out the wrinkles (imperfections) of whatever planet it's on... smooth the planet and the people starting thinking smoothly... ie if u have a smooth wrinkle-free brain, it means ur an idiot.. therefore in prime condition to be enslaved, in this case by Medica MechanicaCloud Clone wrote:What was the iron really supposed to be?

Ok, so what are the medical mechanica supposed to be anyways? Are they man-made, or alien, or...some kinda man-made alien robots, or maybe some kinda robot doctors or vampires or something? Why were robots popping out all over the place? I just don't know anything...

Medical Mechanica (it's interesting to note that when we get to see their logo in the plant in ep 2, it's misspelled "Meccanica" OSLT) is the corporation that owns the iron-shaped plant in Mabase. Haruko tells us in ep 2 that they make medical machinery, including Canti (he can take X-rays).Cloud Clone wrote:Ok, so what are the medical mechanica supposed to be anyways? However, they've apparently also visited many other planets before Earth, and they're the ones who are responsible for all the robots that keep showing up. Haruko has personal reasons for fighting them, and Amarao over at the Department of Interstellar Immigration doesn't seem to like them very much either.
I've deliberately refrained from putting any spoilers into that explanation; there's a lot you can gather about MM from re-watching ep 6.
