Web links help

Post by Hephaestus » Sun Feb 22, 2004 6:29 pm

if i have a link on my site to download a video how do i make the link automatically download the video and not stream it. I'm trying to save bandwidth. I could of course just zip the files, but I was wondering if there was another way. How does a-m-v.org do it on their download links?

LMAO!! I knew that, but I was just wondering if there was another way. I think the server needs to be set up that way.

I think the Org's local download uses php headers application/octet-stream to force browser to download even .avi files.
