As for the 2nd season of Hellsing? Is there any solid proof that such a thing will happen? Or is it just a whole lot of fanboyish over-hope?

There is no real solid proof that there will be a second season or Hellsing. The only information i've seen about a second season was in a ANN Answerman column that said that the Creator and the staff wanted to wait until they finished the manga before the thought about doing anything else.

Hmm......Well I know they plan to make the next season after they finish the manga, and the scene's do seem to be related to the after effects of the fight with Incognito, but whatever.

Nope, Incognito was made just for the anime, he never appears in the manga. However, there are much cooler guys to fight in the manga. I mean, Alucard's trip to Brazil, the fight with Rip on the carrier, the invasion of England......
Once again I can't stress how much better the manga is.
