I think we whould ban Linkin' Park (or likin' park, as some people seem to enjoy calling it...as if they think there are no other linkin' park video's they have to put in a whole new category that's spelled wrong...)

I think that when it's to the point that you have three Naruto videos with the same damn song, that we should be banning such video's, expecially when it says before you even submit "Do not submit if this video has already been done." I mean, I guess the loophole "Unless you think you can do it better" is there though too. I mean, if you look at the stats, the first three on both music and video are taken up by linkin' park, likin' park, and...well, actually it looks like that's been fixed. so never mind the statistics thing. I know at one point though there were three dragonball z dragon ball z and dragonballz variations.

I'm all for dragonball z and linkin park being a part of this organization, but I think we need programs to ween people off of linkin' park, because there is a lot of other great music (and animes) out there.

I admit that I too am sometimes annoyed by the overwhelming amount of generic videos that use the same songs. But banning some songs or series would be going too far. Who is to say what should be allowed and what not? It's all about personal preferences anyway.

So, does that mean your entire topic was a joke?

And I do agree. Videos with the same song and anime combo is way too overused. I did a search for LBZ vids the other day and got 300-ish results. That's just a few too many, especially when the AMVs use the same footage. I've seen vids of the same anime with different songs use the same scenes, but in different spots, it looked good. That's the case with many Evangelion vids, but all the ones I've seen are awsome.

It was a serious topic with an air of humor. I seriously feel that there are too many linkin' park video's, but I know it's a joke to request people to not make them. Linkin' park is a popular band because of it's fringe values. I can understand why it is used so much. But at the ssame time I just get tired of it. I Was joking about Seperate but equal and banning them because it was a good way to give my feelings about it. I have no doubt that there are some great LBZ vids, but there are so damn many of them the good ones are overshadowed by the bad ones

Dokidoki has already made a video about the overuse of Linkin Park music in anime music videos.

I don't really care since I'm a stuck up bastard who refuses to watch any Linkin Park videos, and I wish Dragonball Z would be given more respect than to be the trash everyone uses for their un-good videos. But people can use whatever songs and anime they want, so what if there are a bunch of duplicates, the visuals are different in some way, aren't they?

ah, so if 4 n00bs use the same song and anime to make a crap amv, and then someone makes a great amv using the same combination then they shouldnt be allowed to upload it ? im doing this now, ive almost half finished the amv, its technicaly my most impresive amv yet. the other two amv's using the same combo's probaly suck, but i woent judge till i see them. n00bs allways suck in to easy anime/song combo's , esspecialy with stuff thats suited to alot of action
