While I've got no idea on what the situation is with Pokemon. We should probably stop and think about how much longer it could possibly survive following the current story arcs. I'd say it has little over a year left before the writers start scratching their heads.

Personally I'd like to see it put to rest (only to regain HP:wink:) Just because there aren't being any new episodes made doesn't mean it'll necessarily disappear from the fans. It's amazing how you can still find Eva threads even after a good what, 7... 8 years?

One thing that would help it out though, not to mention Nintendo (after that statement I heard about their new system, they could really use it) A Pokemon online RPG, with the appropriate link-up to the GBA and all that good stuff.

One thing people should also keep in mind is, apart from being insanely long. Pokemon doesn't have all that many bad points to it. The games were great, the TV series was a lot of fun, the movies were... IMO kinda lame, and I doubt I'd buy the plushies for myself, but few would turn down a plushie Snorlax.

Yes snorlax rules!!! I haven't watched pokemon all that much but the stuff I saw I liked especially team rocket. I can honestly say I like pokemon a billion times better than dbz.

*insert threat about Pokemon & DBZ*
Get over yourselves.

I actually wouldn't mind knowing the popularity amongst kids in Japan regarding Pokemon. I know that Pokemon Colleseum is coming out soon, and I wouldn't be surprised if many more Pokemon games were being made.

You know what I started to really despise about the Pokemon games....how everything became so mechanical and well they created all those weird new species....the old ones remain my favourite for the simple fact that the lil monsters seem more realistic....meh, just an opinion.

no he's not, it's rather easy to quote and most people here can do it.
You sure are right about that.

Judging by what NP Magazine has said about the pokemon games when they are released in Japan, they are still pretty damn popular.

DBZ vs Pokemon, which is more stupid?

I just find Pokemon "childish" so I would prefer DBZ over that. But unlike DBZ, Pokemon is not preditctable (well as much as DBZ is). Still....Ash's voice makes me cringe

Used to watch pokemon, liked it....until i grew outa it and moved on. New generation of kids like it, thus it wont go away very soon, at least not when babies still throw tantrums when mum wont buy them a pikachu plushie.

So folks, get over it, and move on. Leave the kids to it and watch something more your age.
