2003 Otakon AMV Contest Results

The results of the Otakon 2003 AMV Contest have finally been posted to the official Otakon web site, and can now be accessed by clicking on this URL:

There are also links to the lists of AMVs that appeared on each AMV tape shown at Otakon 2003 at the bottom of the contest winners page!

Sorry this didn't get posted back in August but our volunteer webmaster moved to Norway, got swamped with work at his real job, and his wife is expecting a baby. Needless to say, he's been extremely busy, and the backup web guy was eaten by lemmings or shoggoths or something. Details are apparently gruesome, and people senior to me on con staff have recommended that it be pursued no further....

Not that it's a big deal, but I'm sure all of us would find cool and it's pretty easy, but can you link to our videos through the Otakon link to the a-m-v.org profile? I don't imagine many folks find their AMVs through Otakon's website but still would be kind of cool and I imagine it'll generate *a little* traffic and well one more person seeing someone's video is always nice .

And yeah obviously this request is slightly biased, but there are a good 10+ videos there, so it'd be nice for everyone

Well, I don't think it's easy, searching the dB for dozens of links. I've had to do it too many times.

If you're inclined to do this, you can avoid the searches by going to these pages: dwchang's 08/12/2003 post and my Otakon 2003 page. Between the two of us we've got your main contest pages covered, but neither of us has the links for the overflow & consolation. If you're going to set up links for those...from experience I can tell you it will take a few hours (or more).

Alas, I have no time to compile such a document, as helpful as it might be to people...

Right now I'm really really crunched for spare time back in Real Life, so I can't afford to spend any time doing AMV stuff for the next several months. If anybody else would like to research the URLs, they're perfectly welcome to do so!

Nice 8) That has MOST of the entries, so hopefully it'd be as simple as copying and pasting URLs in an a href tag. Only reason I suggested it is since I imagine some non-a-m-v.org fan will go to the otakon site, see the videos and go "I wonder where I can get them" and a directed link to the profile page, would help them find it easier .
