hmm, i believe the creator to tenchi is white :), in his movie tenchi muyo the movie. It has a biography thingy on him, and shows him talking he white...But i dont know about american, loll...Anywho ive seen some good american drawers, and by american do you mean white or a citizen of america...Anyway i have lots of friends who can draw...But, i suggest he work on his art work for 2-4 years then he should be able to do well..

Oh and this girl who is 13 years old ~_~ korean but she practices 30 min. a day without any drawing books or anything and she is very good...Hehe, she loves anime to *_* if only i was younger.very perverted thing to say

Anywho i think he should buy some How To Draw Manga books, or something and practice everyday. He should turn out that is if he is truly interested in drawing..~_~ if not then just tell him to find someone who can draw...

www.dethmajor.com robert writes it and this girl named freya is the artist, robert also colors the series using adobe, but if you want it to be manga i wouldnt color, doesnt look to good in books, and it cost more when bought...

Damn, i wanna speak japanese fluently too  ohhh i wish i wish...then again i also want to speak fluent chinese on top of that, now that would be awesome *curses damned american system, its not freakin fair cuz i mean when u think about it all other countries require lessons in english....but here all we're required to do is spanish *tho that wouldnt be soo bad if u liked ur teacher, : ( i failed spanish and shall never go back to it : P lol * so i think we should be required to learn at least one asian/oriental culture and language.....i feel soo deprived of any sort of permanent culture *see im sorta stuck in the south surrounded by a bunch of hicks  damn it seriously sucks ass too*

But anyway yes my "friend" is american and white, yes he should get a job *i could use one too.....* and personally i think if he were to take his ideas to that level, that wouldnt be considered anime, anime has a certain ........well special essence to it that i can not quite place, oh well. : )

I'd really like to make an anime someday...I started scriptwriting last summer, and I plan to study Japanese in college...but I'm focusing on novel writing.

I think anime can be made by Americans. It's really a STYLE of art, isn't it? It shouldn't matter whether it's made by Japanese artists or American. I heard that there's a variety of manga/anime coming from countries like Taiwan and China now...not that I've seen any of it myself.

I think it's safe to say that 96% of everyone here wants to learn Japanese. Unless more video game companies start popping up on the East Coast besides Rockstar Games, I might have to too.

Are you talking about this person's friend or me?

-Uncle Milo
the persons friend, but really it could apply to all of us
I'm on the internet while at my job. What category do I fall in? I actually only post here from my job.

I've watched anime at my job, updated my personal pages (which I will be doing soon) at my job. My job has a 401k, pension, medical, dental, vision, education assistance and other misc benefits. I've also watched Matrix Revolutions the monday after opening weekend, at my job. I'm gonna start rewatching Lain, at my job. I'm drinking celestial seasonings tea at this moment, cause I'm at my job.

Ok I'm done. As to the original poster's question, I really wouldn't care what you label it, as long as its good.

Geez Kracus, what do you do for a living? Drink tea, watch movies, and play around on the internet? Yeah, that sounds about right for someone in politics... ...sorry. I'm actually happy for you, so I'm probably just jealous. I hope I end up that well off.... :?
