Katsu AMV Panel

All of the other posts do not pertain to me, so they need not be commented on.

It did get out of hand at Katsu last year, and although I did attempt to throw in a bit of insight (not to mention not agreeing with many things that were going to be/were said), it became insane. I invited a few people, a few people invited a few more, and by the time the panel came around, we had about 30 panelists, all but three or four drinking (most loud as hell, including myself). I suppose I was just too use to AUSA, where the crowd was mostly made up of friends and fellow creators who didn't give a rat's ass. Who thought anyone would attend? : )

Obviously there are ninja mods patrolling the forums, selectively changing people's posts randomly to suit their sadistic whims to cause conflict among the amv community.

It's unfair that the Otakon AMV Finalists would do a group photo because it excludes those who didn't make the finals! Elitism, I say!

Okay peoples, since I was apparently mucho bitcho above, for starters let me apologize. I was just in quite the bad mood and decided to take my anger out. Anyways I don't see a problem with a picture of the finalists, but I think it'd also be nice to take a picture with all the AMV creators attending the convention. That way if we don't get some kind of gathering planned well we can all meet up there! I'm only going to be at the con on Saturday and I know there are some people only going to be there Saturday so if you want to find a fixed time for the huge picture then that'll be cool. Again, mucho apologies to dokool. Hope to see you all at the con.

Hmmmm... (looks for leet in post)...(searches again)....(does a word search)... am I missing something that I wrote? Let's get real dokool.

Bogosort: I'm rather embarrassed about that comment actually I was in quite an angry rage by that point, but yes, I was out of line and I apologize. Have fun at Katsucon, it's a nice con.

Nightowl: I know personally where you're coming from. I'm 14, turning 15 on Feb.16 (wow, that's a lot of numbers in a row ^^). I look for informative panels to learn stuff from, but lately I haven't been getting them.

I'm not telling everyone "Don't go to the panel!!" I'm repeating what I heard happened last year and I won't be attending the panel because of it. Just *my* personal opinion?

Anyway, if the panel is just a bunch of crazy-ass people who don't give a shit, I'll be there, as I plan on going insane at Katsu - that's what vacations are for, eh? If it's a room full of young kids, I won't subject them to a vision of their sad, substance induced futures. It would scar them for life. I can't seem to teach anything about video, but damn can I be an example of what not to do in social circumstances!

Actually, I think it was more of that someone suggested there be a 'finalist photo' after the AMV panel but pretty much the majority of the finalists said, "Um, why?" and instead we got all the editors who were there and interetest in being in a photo together and took one big picture.

I'm not sure if I'll be at the panel or not... for some reason, I took the brunt of the blame for drunken disorder - and I wasn't even there more than 15 minutes - couldn't pay attention... due to... something else. That, and I wasn't the only drunk person... er, not drunk. Something esle. I won't be drunk this year. I promise. I wonder who complained about me specifically... HMMMMMM...

At Anime USA this past year you were sober for your panel. At least I think you were sober at the time and acted accordingly.
