Cartoon or Anime???

Yeah, well I plan to major in animation possibly here and they move to Japan and go to a university that majors in manga/anime and hopefully then get my manga going and then hopefully start a studio and work on anime

looks good on paper but have no clue how I will actually get to that point

But what is it that makes Anime Anime? Is it because it's made by Japanese people?

That sounds rather silly. Like it's only Japanese people who could animate in a certain style. Or like it's only Japanese directors who can think of good stories and characters. Technically, it wouldn't be anime indeed, but who gives a fuck as long as it's good?

Think about it like this. If Cowboy Bebop was done exactly the same way, by American animators, American producers... everything but the voice actors. That wouldn't make it Anime, but would that be bad?

heh, thats the reason why I dont know hwo to get to that one point. My school told me I don't have th emetnal capacity to learn a foreign langauge soo...I'm gonna try though

aww poor guy! I go to a language college (over here thats years 17-18) and ive done French, German and Japanese (Speaking).

japanese was the hardest, but dew it if you really wanna achieve your dream!

x2 ... ull have a better feel for the whole japanese anime ... and once u goto japan, u'll have no problem speaking and writing in japanese ... yay ... i wanna learn japanese now ...

well the local college I'm going to next year offers Japanese as a alngauge so if I take that Im going to really work my butt off. Either that or have one of my friends help me (have a friend who speaks almost fluent Japanese)
