Shonen and shojo are tow different manga styles. Shonen is obviously geared more towards males, usually containing...ah...well-endowed girls (as Moonlight mentioned) and more action, less cutesy stuff. An example might be something like Eva or Weiss Kreuz (sorry, had to mention that one!
). Shojo manga is geared towards females, with characters with big cutesy eyes. An example would be anything by CLAMP pretty much with the exception of X.

LOL I was going to say...
Anyways, ya,
As a general off-the-cuff type of description,
Shojo- geared towards girls, and generally features a sort of how to describe...more in depth storyline and focuses much more on character development etc, whereas Shonen is geared towards guys, and is much action oriented etc.

who are you talking to, if me, explain more of what you mean because i never said anything that could be responded to I basically meant most of the stuff i watch is romance, drama, and/or comedy...i rarely watch action stuff (though some of the shows i do watch have PARTIAL action, its never a big thing in the show) ....so im just saying, im a guy and i like supposed "girl" stuff (like 80% of the male anime fan population )...meaning the whole shojo crap is all just stereotypes =/ if you werent talking to me, disregard this post Mexico.

Woah woah woah, hold up there peoples, I'm just paraphrasing what's in the glossary of the genre's over at VIZ/Tokyopop etc, Shojo/Shonen are just ways of describing the supposed demographic, it doesn't mean that that's the set-in-stone type of thing. Nor am I implying that guys can't like shojo and vice versa, that would be stereotyping, tis not what I meant.TallonKarrde23 wrote:who are you talking to, if me, explain more of what you mean because i never said anything that could be responded toryuu_hime13 wrote:Do you think CLAMP created Wish and Cardcaptor Sakura with boys in mind?I basically meant most of the stuff i watch is romance, drama, and/or comedy...i rarely watch action stuff (though some of the shows i do watch have PARTIAL action, its never a big thing in the show)
