The Berserk anime is AMAZINGLY tame compared to the manga. Every time Gutts swings his sword against his opponents brains and body parts go flying. In the anime there is only a little blood. I do agree that it definitly isn't the bloodiest out there, hell it barely is one of the top bloodiest.ebichuman wrote:Berserk was considered the bloodiest of anime? Now that's just BS. Whoever thinks that it's the #1, 2, or 3 bloodiest anime needs to watch Kenshin, or that anime with that angel that supposedly got kidked out of Heaven by god.

Berserk wasn't shwon a smuch not becasue of the blood but mroe of the content. As i have explained earlier up.Specially around the last few episodes. But if Berserk kept going like it did in the manga then fuck it would be the bloodiest.I got kenshin manga and episode uncut its nothing really special.

3rd post!
I believe the anime you're talking about is Angel Sanctuary. Pretty good anime in my opinion. Good concept and idea, but the animation needed to be a little better.ebichuman wrote:Berserk was considered the bloodiest of anime? Now that's just BS. Oh, Nandez, good idea about going out and reading up about it. It definitely cleared up a lot of the stuff I was confused about. ^_^

Re: Berserk (spoiler!!!)
yea this is confusing ... but berserk didn't do well in japan, it should have gotten a second season, but it didn't. Episode 25 is the end of the anime. It gets concluded in the manga however, and i have the first two volumes of manga, and htey kick ass.Anime Jedi wrote:Now I'm a little confused about this series. There's just six DVDs of it, right? If so, is the entire series (after the first episode) just retelling Guts' past, and how he met Griffith? And was that guy in the very first episode Griffith?

Berserk anime is great for the fans of the manga. About that gore: anime is NUTTING compared to Miura's manga. Kenshin OAV (which is great) is very violent but not as violent as Berserk. Vampire Hunter D and Hellsing for example are both violent and bloody too but not like Berserk is. The main reason of the little succession of Berserk anime was because it was shown in the middle of the night!
And Griffith/Phemto was in the 1. ep. Yes, there's that small time demon too but Gatsu kicks his ass...
I just wait if 2nd season would began *sob*
Maybe when Miura finishes the manga it would become true
Pakk kicks ass...

I *love* the opening and ending to no end. But they are quite hilarious, or atleast they where before I grew to love them. They make no sense in English. Especailly the ending...ebichuman wrote:Anyone else find the opening and ending theme songs to be amusing?
PS: The Kenshin OAV was a little bloody. So was the Weiss Kreuz OAV for that matter.
