Now I'm a little confused about this series. There's just six DVDs of it, right? If so, is the entire series (after the first episode) just retelling Guts' past, and how he met Griffith? And was that guy in the very first episode Griffith?

The guy in the first episode wasn't griffith that was gust a demon Gatts went t find out about the Behelit.There are only that many episodes and it ends that way because they ran out of money becasue of the times they had to show and how long they showed becasue of the content or Berserk.Berserk known as one of the bloodiest animes ever and little girls getting raped.They couldn't show it alot even in Japan.But the manga does go further it doesn't end and the girl Gatts saves in the first episode is supposed to be Puck a fairy that helps Gatts.Actually the mana does have things like Skull Knight that helps Gatts and Caska escape.But even though Griffith could have killed Caska,Gatts,and Skull Knight he doesn't.He Hesistates when he sends demons after them but not eonugh to kill them.Also the only reaosn Griffith did what he did was Because,after being tortured so long and when all his dreams came crashing down after all he had went through,he snapped.He became insane.(Long ASS Post)

Which part where you saying nope to?If it was aobut the part about Griffith going insane and couldn't think cleary on not to make "The Offering" then your wrong.There plenty of proof to show yer wrong.

So that was the end. -_- Oh well, I was hoping for something a little more... complete shall we say? lol

It's funny, because I never realized the idea that the whole thing was the past until I remembered that little mark on his neck and this guy talking about how he didn't like how their new king Griffith was ruling the land. So I went back to watch it again. Unfortunetely as you've mentionned, it doesn't really expand on anything.

Your only to hope to know more aobut it is to read the manga.It tell things about Skull Knight.And like how the little kid that was at the camp when all the dmeons and fairiers were there didn't die.

me wanna see it, now damnit, where can i find it eh...and does the uncut japanese version actually show the bloodest of the gore and horrible rape scenes

First off your a sick sick sick person.And what do you want to see the manga?No yaoi molestations.And almost 3 rape scenes in the series.Once were Griffith saves her as a little girl from being raped second Caska saves herself and the third one Is at the end of the series,sadly tohught she gets raped by Fento The Darkness Wings.Still your a sick sick sick person.
