maybe i just have a weak stomach...I had a hard time watching Saving Private Ryan (very good movie though).

I'd say Samurai X is borderline for me

People shoot stuff because of media violence, and taking it too seriously.

On the other hand, the reason they follow media violence is their own acquired inability to separate fiction from reality, and an inherently suggestable nature.

that is just it. i have trouble watching movies with blood and violence but anime with even more blood/violence doesn't bother me.

Because it is not real, and the movie industry can make a movie like Saving Private Ryan vividly real.

Saving Private Ryan intended to be as real as it can be.

I doubt anyone in their sane mind would want to imitate Private Ryan in reality.

The problem starts when people start transposing unrealistic violence to reality.

People who go out to imitate somehting they saw froma video game or a movie just don't have a grip on reality.

see technicly i could go out steel some cars rape some chicks and kill hunderds of ppl with aks. but i wont becouse gta is just a game sure its fun but to do that irl would be scary and crazy and stupid. but becouse some ppl think it would be fun and they go and do it they ruin it for eveyone and then ppl get angry that a game like gta comes out.

It's a bit off topic but... I've never liked GTA.

On the other hand, I've played the original Carmageddon since I was 13.

And I'm still the most careful driver evah
