Jin Roh

Post by tagarth » Fri Jan 16, 2004 7:01 pm

I was just wondering. After watching that amazing movie Jin Roh, I remeber seeing DVDs for something called wolf brigade, and then in New type there were a bunch of DVDs with pictures of the soldiers in Jin Roh, but none of the DVDs were called Jin-Roh. I was just wondering, is there more to Jin Roh then Just the movie from studio IG?

Not that I can find via Google.

I don't exactly get why everything in that movie was German.

Heh. Word, I was digging the German WWII weaponry in there, too.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Ah ha! There is a MANGA!

It was called Kerberos Panzer Cops a.k.a. Hellhounds.

http://dan42.com/jinroh/images/manga02.jpg

It looks very Americanized however and seems to have been released by Dark Horse. I can't tell if it's an Japanized American comic, or an Americanized Japanese Manga. :|

*googles farther*

And there's a live action Japanese movie based on the comic! http://www.dvdvisionjapan.com/straydog.htm

*more google*

Ah ha! A second live action movie, same universe different them called Red Specticals!

Everything was German in Jin Roh because it was based in an alternate reality where Germany won the war, I think that's how it goes.

Even during the second world war, Japan didn't use German designed equiptment.

Everything in that movie was WW2 german, from MP44 assault rifles to Volkswagons... Actually, I'm supprised there wern't any Kubblewagons (Kinda like the Nazi version of a Jeep) in it. :/

I saw a boxset at gamestop that said it had three movies in it. The outside had Jin-Roh looking soldier guys on it, although none of the movies within were it.

Recently saw Jin-Roh. Excelent drama, I'm starting to get curious about those other movies. From what I heard, they're suppose to be prequels.
Probably too busy to be here right now.
