My mom really doesn't care or know what anime is, and I don't intend to show her anything or get her into it.
My younger brother (he's 18, I'm 19) only watched DragonBall Z and still is, he loves that anime a lot, and he watches nothing else. I tried to let him watch Evangelion and Trigun but he just doesn't want to. I also tried convincing him that they are much better than DragonBall Z, but to no avail.
And my youngest brother (16 years old) doesn't give a damn about anime. Whenever he sees me watching anime he says "oh how childish". I got used to it now, so I don't care about him.

Well tell ur bro to get over DBZ... i suggest Naruto, i went to my local anime shop and the guy said that i might even be bigger than DB... Who knows, but so far, from wat i've seen, its funny, and full of action, wat more can u ask for. And its not all to repetative, they dont go super saiyan 500 hundred times, this series is more realisticDarksyde wrote:My mom really doesn't care or know what anime is, and I don't intend to show her anything or get her into it.

Lucky u ... u got ur mommy to support ur anime needs. I need to save in order to get mine. Well i guess it makes me more discipline and stuff, not to say that u arent discipline. So i dont really mind, it just takes me longer to get an anime series i want, no biggy... 8)VegetaLover50 wrote:I didnt have to get my mom into anime, we got into it at the same time, 3 years ago. geez.... almost no one in my family watches anime.. my sister says that "it's something only little kids could watch"
My dad dosen't understand what makes me and my friends like anime... i tell him like the apple jacks commercial "we just do!"
My mom thinks it's a waste of money, and never buys me anime stuff.... that's the only case where my dad is nice... he buys me anime things for christmas....
My uncle, though, is a big time anime fan.... I see him every night watching an anime from his collectin... Last night i went over and we watched Samurai X together... he is lucky cause he works at store that sells Anime, and is able to take some home.... his collection grows like 20 dvd's a month... already has every episode of dragonball, dbz, all the Yu Yu hakusho eps currently out, and a bunch of other anime's not aired... i sure do envy him... but he's the only one in my family other than me that watches anime.....
