Final Fantasy AMV questions

Post by Jaian » Mon Jan 12, 2004 4:25 am

I've got two questions about some Final Fantasy AMVs I've seen.

1) There's a Final Fantasy X AMV by someone called Pondlife that I downloaded off Kazaa. I've searched for it being listed here, couldn't find it. Anyway, there are two songs used in it, about 15 seconds of something called "To Zanarkland", and the rest of it is something I can't identify, and so far find anyone who can. Does anyone here who's seen this AMV know what that song is? (for the record, it isn't Sutaki da ne).

2) There's a Final Fantasy VIII AMV using the song Silence by Sarah McLachlan, easily my favourite AMV, but I can't seem to find any info about this, who the author is, or where any more of his/her AMVs can be found. Can anyone help me with this?

Aside from that, are there any AMVs which are based on FF X-2 alone? Or any AMVs based on CG graphics? With the exception of maybe the Kenshin OVAs (and please don't flame me) I find animated AMVs to be dull and uninspiring, although that RahXephon/Euphoria AMV impressed me despite the actual images =/

Thanks =)

Just to be technical, most anime produced since... 2000 (i'm pulling a # out of my ass but I think it's close to correct) has been done with the help of or completely with computers, so it's all CG if you want to be specific =)

If you go to the Search Page, do a Super Search, and put Final Fantasy X-2 for anime, you may have luck, but since the extraction util for FFX2 hasn't spread widely yet your luck may be minimal. You may also want to try Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within as well. Also, Voices of a Distant Star was done entirely on a PowerMac G3, so it's truely CG =)

There's not that much CG in FFX-2 neway, unless you want to make a short stupid video about Vegnagun. There's one video though that's done to only FFX-2 with Frou Frou's Must Be Dreaming.

It sucks.

I agree with Fyrt , the number of movie scenes in FFX2 aren't enough to make a vid, for example, with 3~4 minutes . Something around half of the scenes are just the scenes from the spheres , that footage it's too crappy to use on gmvs . . . .

[pimp time]But I've made a vid with FFX and X2 . . . if interest the link it's in my sign :wink: [/pimp time]
Nothing usefull here .
