It still bewilders me when people say, "Draw anime". The term anime is short for animation which is a series a drawings not just one. So saying draw anime would be wrong. Something like "Anime characters" is more appropriate. *shrugs* *Goes back to working on comic*

ACTUALLY!! ... I do believe that he/she used the correct terminology. Given the fact that the link ^^ up there points to an Anime Only Contest page, As per Rule 4. As States Below.

Rule #4. Pictures must be anime. Cannot be from other cartoon source. Sorry.

Actually I wasn't talking about the original poster. I just saw that phrase and it made me think of a previous situation. I think a more appropriate term for what they were going for could be:

Draw an anime character
Draw a scene from an anime
Draw something based on an anime

"Draw anime" is like saying "Hit ball". In short it could be correct, but there are better ways of saying it.

Sorry if this went off topic, I guess all that college english has finally gotten to me. As far as the contest goes, I like to draw and all, but I dont copy other people's drawings (ie anime characters and such). I like coming up with my own stuff. I have done very few fan art drawings, all of which didn't give me much pleasure. Anyone can copy something, but it takes skill to do something original. And unfortuantly copying doesn't give me much of a thrill. Which reminds me, I need to draw a scene out of one of my dreams. *goes to doodling*

man, if only we would have a scanner cable then I owuld submit it. Proably wouldn't win anyways.

How much do scanner cables cost?

I would enter but most of my drawing are just faces because im trying to get that down before i even attempt the body/clothing. *shrugs*

-Is EL an actual comic? And online one? And if either where can i see it?
