What about Samurai X?
Hey, does anyone know if there are any AMV's using Samurai X: The Motion Picture? I checked the sight and I swear, there were 0 matches for "Samurai X". If this is the case, then that's good news for me b/c I just ripped Samurai X and am looking foward to using it in my AMV's.
We, who are about to die, salute you.

Re: What about Samurai X?
That would probably be because the entries have been corrected for it. I think this is the corrected entry:RiceBurner wrote:Hey, does anyone know if there are any AMV's using Samurai X: The Motion Picture? Hmm? Do you mean the Kenshin movie or the Samurai X OAV aka. Kenshin OAV?
Kenshin OAV = 91 results
Kenshin Movie = 121 results
and I'm sure there's dozens more names that Ol' Ken's OAV/movie has been buried under.
but it's so been done

Haha ... too many names for just one anime series, oh the confusion of these different names ...Otohiko wrote:Hmm? Do you mean the Kenshin movie or the Samurai X OAV aka. Kenshin OAV?

Not any more there's not. It's all been standardised. All the Samurai X entries are now just aliases.Otohiko wrote:and I'm sure there's dozens more names that Ol' Ken's OAV/movie has been buried under.
These are the org's official entries now:
Rurouni Kenshin (TV)
Rurouni Kenshin - 1st OVA series (Tsuiokuhen, Trust and Betrayal)
Rurouni Kenshin - 2nd OVA series (Seisouhen, Reflection)
Rurouni Kenshin - Ishinshishi Movie (Requiem for Meiji Restoration Patriots)

Wasn't it originally Sony that came up with the stoopid title for the Trust/Betrayal OAV, with ADV later picking up on the trend?

OK, the way it works at the moment is this:
When someone goes to add "Samurai X" to their video they will see it in italics, which means its an alias. What really shows up is a Rurouni Kenshin entry.
Now, the only thing that we hadn't thought of is what happens when someone searches for "Samurai X". The solution that I'm going to ask phade is to see if the Super Search can also search through names of aliases. If that's possible then it shouldn't be a problem.
I'm not going to go and add every possible name for a show into a title, otherwise I'd have REALLY long titles for some shows.
