Very embarrassing. Anyway, I don't plan on entering cons anymore, so that's not an issue. It's just a nice little demonstration of how much I suck.

Eh, I don't want to hold back the project saying "I'll try to think of something" and then run out of time and force y'all to find a replacement at the last minute, because that is an obnoxious thing to do. Even though I'd like to try to think of something, I know it won't be up to standard in time.

This is hijacking the thread, and it also sucks. Sorry.

It wasn't rejected, it wasn't included by accident so quit using it as the "Ultimate proof as to why I suck" and get over the fact that you don't suck and there are a lot of people who like your work (see the VCA forum for several threads nominating your videos).

SarahtheBoring is really good and I don't doubt that she'll be at least nominated for the VCAs. Seemed a little strange to hear AD saying those comments about her video at the anime convention, but that's just my personal feeling towards it.

Long-time argument over Sarah's own ability bashing. I like her videos, she tends to think she sucks. I tend to disagree. It causes arguments like the one above (her video wasnt kicked out of that convention).

He originally gave me the umaro song, and after getting the totoro footage, then sitting down to try and make a beta...my mind was racked. I picked up the Gau/edward segment since I already had the dvd's. And spend the better part of two straight days trying to edit with DVD vobs (stupid scripts). but anyways, don't give up. If you do then PieRow will have to say "Oh shit, we have to find SOMEBODY to do this".

Yeah, there are a few people who like my vids; I know them. I am one, despite all my bitching. But there's a difference between "a few of your friends like them" and "you are teh awesume." I'm just being realistic, okay?

Anyway, I am really sorry that the thread went off the rails, I will give the track another shot now that I've learned there's a focus on old-school-style editing, I'm done. 8)

I'm good friends with the coordinator, and in the contest winners list, he said that the problem with Sarah's video was that something was wrong with the audio. I don't think it's Sarah's fault and I've told her that I hope she will enter future contests.

I'm glad you're not giving up. Show them who's Ms. Bitch!

PieRow,

Any chance of there actually being an extension to the deadline? My new computer won't arrive until the end of the month, which would only give me a couple of days to edit my own clip and help out Sarah out by providing her some of my anime footage. It has to be extended at least until mid Febuary, or else I won't be able to get much done.
