Fin Fang Foom "With the Gift Comes The Curse"
1 Mile North "Minor Shadows"
Iron & Wine "The Creek Drank the Cradle"
Songs: Ohia "Magnolia Electric Co"

Yeesh, so many more that I want to list. '03 was the best year for music since '96 imo, and I still haven't gotten around to listening to everything recommended to me.

Kilik, glad to see another CoCa fan :) Although, I really can't say that In Keep Secrets was in my Top 5. It was a great album, but it was also pretty lacking IMO.

1 - The Postal Service - Give Up
2 - Brand New - Deja Entendu
3 - Death Cab For Cutie - Transatlanticism
4 - Radiohead - Hail to the Thief
5 - Bright Eyes - Fevers and Mirrors

Heh, good to see there's people with plenty of good choices for this :)

Only 2 albums I've heard from 2003, however, both I liked quite a bit. And you can't blame me for living in a very limited musical world much of which consists of archive material

Mars Volta - Deloused in the Comatorium
King Crimson - The Power to Believe
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Doesn't really count, but both Television reissues were the best albums I bought all year.
Are you down with the sound of the Devil's town?

I'm sure those both kick ass, I don't wanna say though because I don't own copies. Nest time I have money though I'm getting Bright Eyes, t's only $9.99 at Best Buy.

Copy and Pasted from Demonseal:

(In no particular order, I'm just flipping through my CD book which is pretty randomely set up)

Fall Out Boy - Take This To Your Grave
Saosin - Translating The Name
Bleed The Dream - Awake
A Santa Cause - It's a Punk Rock Christmas
(It's great what these guys did. They wrote their OWN x-mas songs, didn't just cover jingle bells or some shit. On top of this, all profit went to charity, AIDs I THINK)
Blink 182 [Self Titled]
Story of The Year - Page Avenue
The Ataris - So Long, Astoria
(It might have been that they're such a favorite band of mine and such good friends that I was just ultimetly stoaked and had to buy it, and was so happy with it that I listened to it atleast 3 times a night for weeks, but all and all no matter what it was, I DID listen to it atleast 3 times a night for weeks, so it makes the list)
Brand New - Deja Entendu (This album is so incredible, could very likley officialy be the best album all year)
Mest [Self Titled]
Slick Shoes - Anywhere But Here

Thrice - The Artist In The Ambulance (They REALLY out did themselves)
Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue
Boys Night Out - Make Yourself Sick
Thursday - War All The Time
Anberlin - Blueprints For The Blackmarket
