If you look at any of the major cavalry charges in LOTR, you can tell what is and what isn't CGI, because everything in CGI moves too fluidly. There's no quick, snapping motions in the punches, flexibility in the spinal column, or proper fluid-like transitions between acceleration/deceleration of components. Complex systems don't accelerate the same way all the time, like they do in CGI. Also, each CGI character fights, moves, and acts exactly the same.
not true, every individual calvery unit or soldier had it's own "will" and did whatever it did on it's own according to it's environments... they didn't just do the same sequences over and over again.

... but there'd be no use for this sort of system anyways... except if they wanted to show a bunch of JSSDF forces fighting their way into Nerv HQ from really far away so we couldn't tell they were CG as easily... let's hope not.
If you're reading this, you've gone too far...PREPARE FOR RETRIBUTION!!
Don't judge an AMV by it's anime.. u nooB ;D

The End Of Evangelion was Anno's revenge upon the stupid masses that didn't get the end of the TV series. During the chaotic epileptic scenes, there are ACTUAL hate letters from fans who were all 'I DUN GET TEH ENDING!' in those scenes.

Those movies were only necessary if you are a member of the group that Anno deemed stupid
But anal is a retard himself for making a bunch of crappy endings and ruining his series

Hmm.. for some reason I can never find the ability to take posts like this seriously.... oh well, no big loss.

(FYI - Evangelion only ended once, was only one story, and only had one actual ending. It was just done in a very unconventional way, but I'm not one to stick to convention)

The suggestion that The End Of Evangelion (movie) was revenge by Anno to get back at the fans for not liking the original ending is false. Anno himself stated that the original TV ending was the way he was feeling at the time, and that he was pleased with what he did with it. However, EoE uses the original script for episode 25, and follows previously scrapped concepts for episode 26. To suggest that either of Evangelion's endings (not actually two endings, but different perspectives, different experiences) are worthless or unimportant is ludicrous, since Anno intended it to happen that way. He created the TV ending the way he wanted to, knowing that fans would call out for another ending, thus saving Gainax a ton of advertising, since after all Gainax was a poor company, and he then created EoE with less restrictions, using a different key perspective to form the events. If you want to get a really good sense of what went on, you have to see both endings. You can understand what happened in the series with either ending solely, but neither shows a true expression of what occured on its own.

I've seen the trailer for Advent Children. Though impressive, it still doesn't hold a torch to the work done in 'The Spirits Within" and "Final Flight of the Osirus"

The richness in quality and detail is different, I'll give you that- but you'd originally said that they'd closed their CG studios. that's all I was commenting on.

You know- I've noticed this about this (And every other live action Evangelion Thread I've seen on the Org...)

You guys are always building yourselves up for a disappointment. Regardless of how they make it, good, bad, whatever, you'll only be willing to accept what's wrong with it. Where's your sense of adventure? I may be crap, I'll give you that. It may be phenomenal. But you won't see it- you'll only see what's wrong. It's so disappointing to see so many people with closed minds, who are already willing to accept failure, so much so that they're willing to blind themselves to anything else.

Sorry, guys, I can't help but pity you.
