They WATCHED animes too when they were younger.
Almost every time I rent something, they watch it with me.
My father's favorites are Kenshin and Cowboy Bebop. He also likes Trigun.
...He even watched Sailor Moon with me. >>;
Obvious, neh? I don't know WHY I watched that though.

Heck, mom even thinks GTO is cool.

My only problem is that the RP store where we could rent animes such as Hellsing and Slayers recently closed.
Nuts. :x

My personal provider is Gimme Anime, Aurora CO: gimmeanime.com.

Another one of my favourites had a location in teh mall nearby, but with low exposure and fluctating rents and stuff they Moved to a better spot, see www.buymeanime.com

I make a very good effort to go legit. But for those anime that you Groove really Adventure can't Rave! get, I get fandub. But I want to see high quality? HK DVDs from Animeniacs.com.

It's amazing, they add their logo so you know it's fake, but from the shrinkwrap (think polyurethane) to the inserts and the glossy SILKSCREENED / MULTILAYER discs, they're becoming really good at piracy now. Heck, in China piracy is running rampant and the government can't crack down on it - they even copied the colour hologram sticker!
These DVD piracy people are getting better and better at it...

But anyways. I'm truly lucky to have a choice in local vendors. Unlike your typical CN fan, I try not to take the Internet for granted and appreciate the anime.

Bt my parents would never understand...

If a person can say in public that they like anime, then they are ashamed of it and shouldnt be considered true anime fans. :?

Here here!
I on the other hand, tend to announce my love of anime in public at every opertunity I have. I'm like a proud father just after I buy some new anime manga or DVD. Struting through the mall (Or down Mt.road) with my anime out of the bag, so that every one walking by see's it. Good way to pick up hot anime loving chicks 8) , if it ever works, I'll let you guys know, cus so far, it hasen't :cry:

I think to get a gurl into anime, u have to show her Oh! My goddess and then the movie. Oh man, i finally was able to get the series yesterday and i watched it through, and boy was it good. Ive only seen the movie, and i really liked it, but the series is just another insanely good series, i didnt expect it to be this good. It was very emotional and is good to get gurls into anime because they will like all the drama. It could also be good for the guy showing it because im sure the gurls will start to tear up and then u can comfort her... :) ... i got to admit though, it got me a bit teary eyed too in the end, but u should hold those back when u watching with a gurl, cuz it could be bad ... o sometimes good, it just depends.
