Favorite recap episode? (SPOILER potential)

Well, why not? There's been all sorts of topics on "Favorite OP sequence" or "Best eyecatch," so why not discussion on the 'dreaded' recap episode -- the one at the middle of the series where past events are brought up again (low animation budgets and tight schedules around New Years?). Sometimes they can be a drag (Ex. the recap episode-and-a-half used for KareKano), while others can be downright silly (the New Years competition between Excel and Hyatt for Excel Saga) in their presentation.

Personal fave (placed in SPOILER-GARD, just in case):

The recap episode for Martian Successor Nadesico, where the cast (both good- and bad-guys) of the "show-within-the-show," Gekigangar-3, are watching the recap episode of their favorite anime series -- Martian Successor Nadesico!!!

Anyone else have a favorite recap?

I've got two:

Utena's first recap ep:

It not just is a recap ep, but it offers a number of explanations (at least my second watching of the series), lots of tantilizing hints of what's to come, and concludes by introducing the second story arc. All in all, one of the best recap eps out there.

X's recap ep.

Again, it's not only a recap episode, but it offers a lot of insight into Kamui and Kakyo's individual (and opposing) perspectives. It offers alternate possible explanations for events that have already occurred, as well as hints of events to come.

The Nadesico recap, well, I suppose it wasen't so much a recap as it was a show episode within a show within a show, but I liked it.
