VCR or DV?

I'm thinking about making an AMV, and I don't know whether to get a VCR or DV for the Video Capture. I need something fairly cheap, but good quality. Any suggestions?

Your question doesn't really make much sense.

If you are wondering the best way to get footage. That would be using DVDs that you purchased. You can get the pure digital video off the disc. Just read the guides, there is a link off the main page.
