So Machine, you're saying you take AMVs seriously enough to go around making group generalizations and stating that almost all videos suck? Good call...

:P
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

I've just read the entire thread and the only thing I wanted to add is that I find it bad that we're arguing over entertainment and people's tastes like there's some absolute truth or answer (i.e. 95% of X = bad and Y = good). An entire community's tastes cannot be broken down into statistics like that.

Just because someone thinks something sucks doesn't mean everyone does. Live and let live...let people make their "sucky videos" and let others watch and enjoy them. In turn, make and watch only "good videos." I don't understand why it's so hard to do this. It's not like someone puts a gun to your head and makes you download a video and watch it.

And by the same token, people are entitled to their opinions even if it is negative yes? In my opinion, that's all this entire thread comes down to, arguing about opinions and tastes.

I suddenly feel unloved.

Guess I have to increase my helpfulness and reasonability factors.

I never said they sucked. I said that I thought they were crappy (In other words, I don't like them.). I'm entitled to my opinion. If you have a problem with me not liking your videos, tough luck.
So there's a difference between sucky and crappy? OH OKAY.

I don't have a problem with it, I just get confused when you come up here saying my video sucks, oh wait excuse me, they're crappy, and then you give me eights. If you read what I fucken said you would have taken note of that and I wouldn't have had to reply. Maybe one day you'll stop trying to argue with me, for just fucken once.

This thread can get locked now.

I think labeling someone is a stupid thing to do.

Because it doesnt matter who you are, or what you do,
Anyone can make a good (/great) video if you try hard enough.

And let's not forget that it might be "good" or "great" to them. And if that's the case...what does it matter what other's think? :)

I think the distinction he was making was between stating it as fact ("they sucked") and stating it as his own personal opinion ("<i>I thought </i> they were crappy/I don't like them").
