Mmmhmm. I got a $60 DVD-Rom/CD-RW that plays all the formats my DVD-RW couldn't. Plus now I can burn CDs at 48x. Less of a hassle than having to exchange the one DVD that both my drives were having problems with, plus this one can handle DVD-Rs and weirdly burned formats, so I never have compliance problems.

Cowboy the fuck up and buy the damned drive.

Dude, you asked. That's their answer. Sorry if it's not the answer you want, but hey, you asked.

I hung around watching vids and making game vids (which don't require a DVD drive) for the better part of a year until I got a DVD drive for an early birthday present. Other people have other solutions. Deal.

So you can't do exactly what you want when you want - either wait and get the damn drive, or stop whining about getting bad opinions for your assy-lookin' footage, because you will. Those are your options.

Hey... Some of my best amvs used downloaded footage and nobody complained about their quality...

Being a digisub editor for most of my amv career [that's a joke ain't it?] I can say that dvd is still the way to go. I've done 3 amvs using dvds and I don't think I'll go back to digisub editing just yet...
