Akira ideas
Hey,
I just got Akira and I love it. I want to make an AMV to it, but for the life of me I can't find a song that fits it. I wasn't thinking a charicter profile or sentimental, just action or shock vid. If the song is real langthy i'll be glad to do other anime along with Akira.
Thx for any and all ideas ^_^

This is completely random and it just popped in my head.
Youth of the Nation by POD.
Well, that wouldn't be a bad idea if you want a challenge. I can't think of any characters that go with Johnny or Suzy in the song, or the reference to the parents at the beginning. The attitude and spirit of the song is in the movie, but the appropriate footage is not. Plus, I think someone's alreaddy attempted it.
I have a few ideas to Akira that I'm going to try out, but also plenty that are pretty vague that I doubt I'll get around to. Hopefully, you'll find them useful:
No Such Thing by John Mayer
Peaceful World by John Mellencamp
Terminator Theme
Going Under by Evanescence
Set it Off by POD
Boom by POD
If I think of anymore, I'll say.[/i]

I must disagree. I think if you did like before said POD or system of a down, or some other hard rock song would be good with alot of action. Now DBZ has been used up.HungryCrackPot wrote:All usable songs and footage have been used. Nothing you can do would be original. Give up.
Now go make a DBZ vid with a Linkin Park song.
Death justifies the means..............kill DBZ and the problem will be solved!!

Some people prefer to think outside of the box.HungryCrackPot wrote:I must disagree.
Akira is baically cyber punk, but you are treating it like VIN DIESEL AKSHUN trash.
IF you are going to try Akira, AT LEAST use and Industrial song.

So thinking outside of the box is choosing overly played MTV bullshit?
You're an ass.
ALSO, I was suggesting that the music ACTUALLY BLEND IN with the anime you use, not just pick an anime and randomly choose a popular band/song to go with it.
And I have seen VERY FEW AMVs that use any good Industrial, and NO RAMMSTEIN DOES NOT COUNT.
