Fushigi Yuugi, Kare Kano, Fruits Basket, Escaflowne (the series) (from what I've heard -- still have to actually see it), and others.

ah, I like Escaflowne series. Not the best animation, but still good. I gotta love trigun's animation though. Vash's costume has to be one of the best I have ever seen.

One of the most intresting methods of animation was in "Her and her cat" and similer in "The Detictive's story" from the animatrix.

"Her and her cat" is form the DVD of Voice Of A Distant Star.

Shoujo is girls anime. Shoujo often features girls in positions of power (for example the heroes are often all female in Shoujo anime). Fan service or any Echi humor is banned from Shoujo anime. Any nudity/sexual situations is not humorous but serious, at least its intended to be. An example of a well known shoujo anime is sailor moon. Shoujo anime is rare because Shoujo is mostly about what the anime doesnt have than what it has. For example, Chobits might seem like a shoujo anime at first glance, but because the main character is male, is surrounded by attractive (but capable) females, and because the show just occasionally has some very light sexual humor, it is actually considered to be categorically shonen anime, despite the fact that it is a very light hearted romantic anime and is written/made by women (clamp).

I'm not sure (because I have'nt seen them yet), but I'm guessing Azumanga Daioh and Utena are Shoujo animes as well.

I hope that helps.

That's a VERY generalized answer, encompasing MANY different types of anime. You might as well have said "I like JAPANESE japanese anime".
Honestly, if you don't like something enough to know what it is or who made it, then you probably don't like it that much.
