Good thing I bought that Full Metal Panic box yesterday. Support anime in the US? I'll pass on that... at least for the next 10 months. Don't you mean Inu Yasha in general is horrid.

Well. And here I was thinking Canada was a quiet peacful fun-loving place.

Mr Oni
First off, I'm not french.
Secondly, any fan sub I have, I either buy when it comes out here, or don't ever watch it, cus the first episode sucked so bad I regret paying the money for the cd to burn it on.
Thirdly, Most of yur anime is translated by those "Damn french wannabe bastards", so shut the hell up or I'll be making some calls.

If I am a piece of shit for watching fan subs, or even thinking of watching a bootleg, then I would go see a doctor about your digestive system, it's not working right. Or you need to stop eating bootleggers and fansubbers, I think thats more illegel in the states.

Double posting, I hate it as much as anyone but.....

I cheacked out CDPlus.com like you said, and besides the fact that the selection was crappy, it was still expensive!
I mean, most of the movies were cheap, but series DVDs were around $40. Chances are, with series DVDs your going to buy more then one, so I'm not paying close to $200 for a few DVDs, not when I can put that money to good use.

I hardly make any money as it is. I will not mooch off my parents, they have less spending money then I do, asking from them would be wrong. I have two jobs, but the cost of living is too high, to spend that much money on DVDs....... it would just be a waste of resources.

So I geuss if you can afford to pay big bucks for your anime, then do it, I wont call you a piece of shit for it. But how I watch my anime, With in my legel rights, is my choice.

Common misconception, in 1812 we set fire to the white house when American declared war on us. :D What do you think is under all that SNOW? White tanks are hiding there, come the next Class 5 Kill Storm across America the Canucks will invade, conquer the RIAA and Square Soft (Forcing them to make Final Fantasy 7 II) and proceed to eat your babies. And of course, we'll have parades in you cities while we throw out free high priced DVDs onto the crowd.

Frigg Dj, Don't tell them every thing, especialy the part where we force them to watch Bob and Doug's Strange Brew, and have the entire country admit that our actors and hockey players are better then theirs! You'll ruin the element of suprise.

Then again, what am I saying, I don't work for Canada, you all just wait, the shadows are coming. And only one force in the universe can stop them. JOIN BABYLON 5!

I was the one that got him into non-DBZ anime and AMVs though, so that's the reason I don't have a guilty conscience. ^_^ I've rented a lot too, but mostly with my parents' money. :?
 who might be this sucker he speaks of?!

... uh-oh... D'OH!

but i still got to watch bebop and now and then, here and there for gratis
(i really hope i spelled that right... me being crazy mexican an all)
but i guess yes, technically you did bring me to this website and learned me of other anime... but who's to say that if einstein hadn't thought up relativity, no one else would have? but indeed, my gratitude goes to you... and this bullet! BAM!

-bak on topic-

spent $220 on vhs (b4 my dvd-player days)
spent roughly $725 on dvds... wow, i never thought i'd spent that much already, woot! :D
but of course i will try to sell my vhs's to the highest bidding sucker anyway i know how, i just hope threats won't be necessary... that or bonfires
[prepares a match for his dbz movies on vhs]... [yes i'm keeping the dbz dvds, i can't believe you'd think about me parting with those  ]
but let's not turn this into a dbz topic, point is, i don't most of the dubs of dbz, so the original japanese dialogue is a plus

as for manga, i'm just now starting to buy those, mostly Shonen Jump issues with i'm still not subscribed to, spent 60 bucks on those so far
plus $80 on evangelion mangas... thus far, haven't gotten entire series yet
then $24 on other graphic novels

brining the current grand total to an astounding $1,109
 [grabs gun... and shoots teller who refuses me another loan! ]
and no... just in case you're wondering, i never took out a loan... for anime
[/i]
If you're reading this, you've gone too far...PREPARE FOR RETRIBUTION!!
Don't judge an AMV by it's anime.. u nooB ;D
