Sprinfield missouri cons? O.O

Maybe, just maybe this state does't know what anime is... I just moved from Virginia, which had: Katsukon, Anime Mid atlantic, and Nekocon, i believe.
now, I live in missouri.. Are there any conventions in springfiled missouri? or anywhere near? I've looked, and alas, none. Maybe i'm missing something.
Or for that matter are there any in witchita, ks?

I know how you feel, I live in KC myself and the three closest cons are in Colorado, Iowa, and Chicago.

I think Garylisk posted something about people trying to get a convention together in the middle of MO. Search for the word "Mimocon" and it should come up. If it actually happens, then I'm definitely going.

Yeah i signed up for the mainling list....although they're still in the "handing out fliers to people at the mall" phase.

There's a gaming convention held every fall a bit up the road in Rolla at UMR called CogCon that at least in the past had at least an anime room and several anime merchandise dealers at it- however, I don't know if the club still actively participates in the convention or not...
