Getting the clips and making the vid

I recently acquired a brand new Powerbook G4 that came with iMovie. I've been told that i can use this to make anime vids, but i can't figure out how to get the clips off of the dvds. any suggestions?

You do realize that the guide is for Windows and not Mac, right? He specifically said he had a Powerbook G4. Cyber, search for "red wolf guide"
