An ocean of dust and randomly strung together pieces of hydrogen, serving no purpose other than allowing all of us to continue in our misery, doomed to an enternity of petty squabbles and meaningless ego trips, until the whole thing one day explodes and starts the whole shebang all over again. - Chaos_Angel

Never heard of this before...

Never heard of someone who would do such a thing. Maybe we should implement a watermark on our AMVs declaring that these AMVs are no for sale and is for free distribution. F*** that guy, if I catch him I'll....I'll....Use the cane on him, yeah the cane *Pulls out the cane and begins swishing it*

Triple-posting is also rather uncommon.

Seriously, this kind of stuff isn't all that unbelievable -- the first time I heard of it happening was with a few of Aluminum Studios' videos. Then there was one post in the General AMV forums about somebody doing the exact same thing. Now this.

People will sell whatever they can to make a profit, illegally or legally. (Hell, somebody bought a piece of French toast that Justin Timberlake didn't finish for $1,025.)

Still, gotta find a way to complain to eBay about this. This act violates more copyright laws than an AMV editor. (Which is pretty bad.)

This stuff has been going on on eBay for years. I mean basically since AMVs were digitized, there have been shmucks on eBay trying to sell them, and from even before that are people selling fansubs (both on tape and CD). I used to run a Website called SenshiTV where I put up fansubbed episodes of Sailor Moon that I encoded (in super 'leet RealMedia G2! w00t) and I would see people selling them on eBay all the time. One of the guys at VKLL used to run a mailing list of like Fansubbers Against Bootleggers or something like that and if you saw an auction of fansubs, you would complain and then mail the list about it so EVERYONE would complain and eBay would actually notice. Never knew what happened to that, oh well...

these guys would be sad enough if they sold their own amvs but this is just stupid, just because we creators aren't exactly on top of the law it means we can't have any copyrights or anything over our own amvs.

Well lets see...

Broadband = $40
100pack CDRs = $20

$0.60/per disc

Sold for $6 = 10x profit.

If they mangaged to sell all of them :p $600 from $60.

Sooo who wants me to review thier AMVs. Only people with fast servers and high kwality videos that are easily burned onto a disc need apply ;) ;) ;)

He's pulling in a penny or two preying off idiots. He also sells Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue VCDs with live performances and videos. Marketing smarts, folks. Complain all you want, this guy has $63.53 netted in the last week.
