Yes, and it will only cost about 10 grand to get that top of the line gaming rig. And then when PC speeds double in 18 months (which they always do) you have to spend 10 grand on another.

no you don't. :? and you don't even have to have the top rig to enjoy the best pc games. hl2 can run on a 486 (the hl2 spokesman said so).

also, the top rigs don't usually require more than 5k if you really want to have the newest specs.

your usage of hyperbole is the suxxors. :?

I don't believe you. Link me to a page that says HL2 runs on a 486. Especially when you only get 30 FPS with a P4 2.8 GHz with a 9600 pro.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Thank you for the endless pages of links about the "Will this run on my 486?" joke.

I've got a little link for you though.

9600 pro getting 30 FPS. There is no way in heaven or hell anyone is playing on a 486.

sure, people wont' likely play it on a 486, but that doesn't mean that hl2 won't acutally not run on a 486.
