Any Children of Bodom fans here?

Post by TokyoU15 » Thu Nov 20, 2003 3:01 am

I'm gonna go see Children of Bodom play at the House of Blues on November 27 with Nevermore and Hypocrisy. Unfortunatly Dimmu Borgir is headlining (yes they're cool, but I'm not there for them).

Anyone else live in the Los Angeles area and gonna see 'em?
Has anyone ever seen of of these bands live? I'm going mainly for Bodom and Nevermore. Great fucking bands, can't wait!

I could go see them, but I can't find anyone to go with. Same reason I'm not seeing KMFDM on Monday :? .
I'm out...

Go see 'em alone!! I'm sure it'll be worth the lonely isolated drive there. That is of assuming you do drive, if you don't...sorry to hear that!

hey Roger, i'v seen this gig in
Montreal NOvember 12th,
its comming back here December 15th
but im not planning to go,
and if you're there for COB you
might be a bit disapointed
cuz they only played 'bout
6 songs here in montreal
and I've heard they were doing
the same in the us dates...
cuz of Alexi beign sick... :(
The Line up was:
-Hypocrisy (I arrived at the end of their set)
-Children of Bodom (like 30-40 mins set)
-Nevermore (like an hour and they suck, drunk singer, crowd not into it at all)
-Dimmu Borgir (The Main reason why everybody was there, 'bout 16 songs, 'bout an hour and 45 min, 1 encore)
so if your going to COB youll be disapointed like I was and
everybody else, or if they play more songs and Alexi
feel better well that would be just great for ya

I have a more official review of that show on the
Dimmu Borgir forum but I think you wont really
be interested in it cuz it talks more of Dimmu
and posers kids at metal shows in Montreal

hey dude!

That really fucking sucks about Bodom only playing a small set! I Just hope they play more songs here and as for Nevermore it would REALLY suck if they are drunk. Nevermore is one of my all time fav. bands and me paying money to see a drunk aint cool.

Link me to that review on the Dimmu forum, sounds interesting. Hopefully Dimmu makes up for the lack of performance (if any)!

I just saw them yesterday and well, I was a bit disapointed. COB put on a really good show, but it was waaayy too short, but at least they played all the really good ones!

As for Nevermore, they fucking kicked ass last night, really long set, great fucking songs, no drunk singer, killer show. Dimmu was just an amazing burst of energy!!! Good show.

I was really impressed with Hypocrisy. They were pretty cool, definatly worth buying some of their cd's.
