Uploadable cons
I'd like to enter The Real Animatrix to various cons, but right now I can't mail anything out. What cons can I just upload submissions to right now?

Re: Uploadable cons
You can make contact with one of the officials and make a time to send it to them so that they have it. I've never done it, but it seems like a complex thing because both people have to be online and if your internet sucks, then it'll take forever and a day to send to them. If my Jin-Roh video turns out good I might send it to a few cons.DJ_Izumi wrote:I'd like to enter The Real Animatrix to various cons, but right now I can't mail anything out. If the con lists "Otaku Video" as providing technical services for their AMV contest, there's a pretty good chance you'll be able to submit stuff via FTP.
Actually, I think there's a 100% chance that you'll be able to submit stuff via FTP. It's really dependent on what Quu wants to do with it, though.

You can't upload stuff right now to OV contests, I don't think, since the OtakuVideo contest server is down for rewrites.
Eventually you should be able to.

Re: Uploadable cons
I don't believe you need to both be online at the same time to FTP a file over to Otaku Video. You're definitely right about your local ISP making a big speed difference, tho. Modem users, prepare for an eternity of time on line.BrsrkEva wrote:I've never done it, but it seems like a complex thing because both people have to be online and if your internet sucks, then it'll take forever and a day to send to them.
As far as complexity, you just gotta register yourself & your AMV on the OV web site and then get a one-shot FTP Userid and PassWord for each music video you want to FTP to them.
