A BAD way to learn Japanese...

Everybody knows that if you learn Japanese off of anime (with it's exaggerated emphasis and accent), everybody's going to think you're some wierd (anime otaku / gaijin seiyuu / new broadcaster).

Here's another thing you should avoid:

( I would like to note several things: First, Areyo is my actual, real name. Not legal name, nickname. Wearing a mantle is perfectly normal for me. My mom does not wear a tie, she drinks juice instead of soda, and she does not sp34k l33t. We have a larger door and long doorhandles. I do listen to Glay and sing to them, but I use a clip on microphone )

Another bad thing about learning Japanese from anime is that if you have friends who watch a lot of girl-anime (Marmalade Boy, KareKano, etc.) and you pick up your Japanese from that, you're going to talk like a girl.

Note to learners of Japanese: men and women talk differently. Don't mix it up, lest ye be laughed at swiftly.

As it does in roles. If you think "polit language" is the end of it, you might be surprised to learn that the linguistic structures of nihongo Common and Newsbroadcaster are a bit different.

We sometimes describe the Japanese english-learneres as having "Oxford English" or "That BBC Accent". And why exactly do they sound like they're from Knightsbridge, Leeds? Guess.
