I think the only sucky videos are the ones thrown together with no effort done to them at all, or ones where the song just dosent match!
....
but some videos somehow magically turn out lipsynced and perfectly timed by just being thrown together! o_o (I have one in mind~)

I made a joke video just to totally pwn Shun in about an hour. It had some very well timed moments that I totally didn't mean to be timed. I was trying to make a horrible video, but some of it came out OK!

the problem i see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.
