vegas4 is amazing

vegas4 is amazing, i mean, when you encode an amv (or anything els, like joining ac3 and avi files of a dvd rip) it only takes about 15 minutes to encode a whole minute of footage in avi (what quality ? probably average, i didnt change any of the setings, just started it and watched angel sanctuary get encoded at about 2 frames per second). now, isnt that amazingly fast ? i mean, it only took me 20 minutes to encode the first 3 minutes of my amv into wmv9 (256kbps video / 96kbps audio). now are theis speeds amazingly fast or what ?!?!?!? and esspecialy considering my crapy pc ( a shity athlonxp2600 333fsb , 512ddr333, 60gig 7200rpm hdd, gf4mx440 ). i mean, considering that it took me a whole 2 hours to encode a 90 minute movie (angel sanctuary, encoded seperate wav and avi into one) into wmv (at 700kbps video , 128kbps sound) using a slow as program like premier 6.5 , the speeds at which vegas4 encodes is stupidly fast. i mean, does vegas4 use like the fastest encoders in the world or something ? (oh and, if ya havent realised, im bieng sarcastic)

Don't you be bitchin about vegas. You darn hater. You'll know that vegas is one of the best editing program. It's interface may seem complicated at first glance but is actually quite simple and very powerfull. Vegas can do almost anything you want. Maybe not as much as premiere can, but I mean wait till you see Vegas 8. Or compare Vegas 4 to premiere 4. And even with 4 more major upgrade premiere is still a zillion time less stable.
Bid deal it encodes a little slower. I made a test, the same file and it took Vegas 5 min and premiere 3 min with the same configuration or almost. Premiere made an error to convert the audio to WMV9 professional and not Vegas thus making the vegas final file 2.06 while the premiere is 2.33. So the lack of speed is even compancated by it's greater flexibility.

ya know, did ya actualy read everything that i posted in that last post without making alot of the shit up yourself ? seriosly, i never bitched about vegas's video editing capabilaties. actualy i love it. its complexity is made simple, and its prety damn powerful, like a program should be. but sadly it takes me approximately forfuckingever to export a video and it realy pisses me off.
