I have three questions, and I could really use some help.
1. how do you rip ps cd's? what equipment do you need?
2. how do you rip ps2 cd's? is it any different?
3. how do you get a picture in picture setup, or a setup with multiple frames, on adobe premiere?
any help would be GREATLY appreciated! thankies!

0. Are you sure you're talking about CDs? Or do you mean DVDs? I'm going to assume DVDs, as PS2's use them and not CDs (though the original PS's used CDs).
1. Read through the guides- specifically, ErMaC and AD's- it details one of themore commonly used (at least here) and cleanest methods to rip and convert DVDs to edit off of. As far as equipment, you need a DVD-ROM drive in your computer, and a few pieces of software. The software is free- the drive is not. Though if you have a halfway new computer, the odds are you've already got a DVD-ROM, and if not, they can be gotten for not much more than the cost of several DVDs.
2. Do a search in this forum and/or the General Video forum for this- it has been discussed several times, though I've never personally done it there is plenty of information available on doing it.
3. The simplest way to do a picture-in-a-picture in Premiere is likely using the 'motion' settings (silly as it may sound). Put the two videos you want to have PIP on the timeline in Premiere and open up the motion settings for the clip on top (will be the smaller 'in-picture' track). Change the 'start' and 'end' positions so there is no motion (assuming you want a still PIP and not a moving one), and then adjust the zoom (again, setting start and end to the same value assuming you want a constant size). Adjust the start and end position to put the video where you want it in the frame, and render it and you've got a picture-in-a-picture. There are other ways, both using Premiere and other programs (After Effects, etc), but that should be the most straightforward.
