. . .

. . Has anyone heard of this anime? Saikou and many other fansubs recently released this anime.

For those who don't know, it's about a high school student name Shiki Tohno and another girl he encounters; Arcueid Brunestud, which is a vampire. Apparently, Shiki can see lines that can "kill" things if cut through. It's a bit complicated. Take poison for example. If he were to cut through the lines of the poison, then the it would just be a meaningless liquid and not poison.

Well, Acrueid is one type of vampire, and she is trying to get rid of another kind, which we generally speak of, which suck people's blood as a requirement. They were generally born of Arcueid's kind from them sucking people's blood for "fun". Arcueid can't defeat all of them, and as we know most vampires can't die. So she need's Shiki's powers to dispose of all of the vampires.

I hope that explains a bit. And you guys should check out the anime. It's brilliant. . .

8)

This is on my must have list. Arcueid is a anime hottie...even if she is one of "Them". I was hesitant about this title at first and since then it is one of my current favorites.

Seems to have good music, good art, and a good storyline.

x2

I was hooked from the Prologue onwards.

Sounds interesting. I'll check out an episode or two and see for myself how good it is. Thanks for the recommendation.

to elaborate on the good music part that most animes have alot of the good music on the first episode b/c that is the episode that they would show at a convention to get people hooked.

Not only does this anime have good music in the first ep but it has unique, non-repitive music in each and every ep to set the scenes and increase the dramatic climaxes 10 fold.

Overall the anime kind of gives off this "classical" feel, in part due to the many insturmental scores found within each ep.

This actually may be something new as far as storylines go, the genera has been done a few times before(blood, hellsing, Vampire hunter D)
but no where near in the same manner and style as this series has.

More to come as more eps are released...............

(currently there are 5eps out to my knowledge)

. . Well I'm glad some people here know of this anime. I would recommend you watching it. And yes, there are 5/12 episodes available right now. I haven't seen the 4th nor 5th, but the 1st and 2nd were brilliant! It's a bit confusing at first, but tends to reveal everything eventually.

. . And for those who don't know, when they said Arcueid was killed by Shiki with the lines, yet she's still alive. I don't know if this is the same as the game, (everything is up to now) but she escapes being killed in spirit form. I would tell more, but I'm afraid that I would spoil things. . .

Well. I guess the first two episodes weren't enough of a chance for this series. I'll have to observe more.

8) Yup I was told this is another H game gone anime.

Personally I have iked what I have seen for the most part of anime based off of games. Ikkitousen was a stretch but I liked it and Green Green was stretching good taste with the sanbaka...but it is a very good show.

I just saw the first 2 episodes, and so far I think it's awesome! It sorta reminds me of a more action-oriented Boogiepop Phantom. Looks like one more I have to add to my "to get" list when it gets liscensed.
